INTRODUCTION
Olympian Sandeep Sejwal has dominated the breaststroke events in India like none before. He was the first Indian breaststroke swimmer to qualify for an Olympic Games and is today among the fastest breaststroke swimmers in Asia. Sandeep aims at conquering the world next. Go Sandeep Go!!!
Achievements
Became the first Indian swimmer to enter the FINA Top 100 World Rankings in three events.
Won two silvers and one bronze medal at the Asian Age Groups Swimming Championships in August 2009, creating new National records in all his events.
Created three National records at the World Swimming Championships in July 2009.
First-ever Indian Breaststroker to qualify for the Olympic Games. Sandeep swam 100 and 200m Breaststroke at the Beijing Olympic Games.
Holds the national records for the 50, 100 and 200m breaststroke events.
First Indian swimmer to break into the top 100 in the 2008 FINA World rankings in two events – 100 and 200m Breaststroke. Best World rank of 92 in the 100m Breaststroke.Best Times:
